TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These terms and conditions are set out to confirm that both parties understand the scope of the work to be carried out, the costs involved, the time scale set for payments and the issues regarding client property.
Scope of service
- An agreement signed by the client is required before any work is undertaken.
- All assignments and client contact details are treated as strictly confidential.
- Registration of client details and initial enquiries regarding a new task are complimentary.
- All disbursements will be charged separately.
- All incoming e-mails will be scanned for viruses. However, clients remain responsible for ensuring they have their own virus protection.
- Final proof reading and checking of all work supplied is the responsibility of the client.
- JJ Freelance PA must be notified of any errors within three days of receipt of completed work. Amendments or alterations requested by the client thereafter will be charged at the standard hourly rate. Errors generated by JJ Freelance PA will be rectified free of charge.
Financial terms
- Payment terms are 14 days from date of invoice.
- Minimum invoice amount is for one hour.
- The hourly rate is billed in increments of 15 minutes, with time rounded up to the nearest quarter of an hour.
- Invoices are included with returned work or sent by e-mail.
- Any time taken carrying out work experimentally at the client's request or discussing an assignment in detail shall be charged at the standard hourly rate.
- Should work be suspended or delayed through any default of the customer, JJ Freelance PA shall be entitled to immediate payment for the work carried out and expenses incurred.
- Payment is by cash, cheque or bank transfer. If the bank refuses a cheque, the client will be responsible for all bank charges.
- Estimates are provided on request. The hourly fee structure ensures that clients only pay for the time it has taken to complete a task (plus any expenses). Therefore, estimates as opposed to quotations are provided. If the client's original requirements change, we reserve the right to amend the original estimate.
- Clients must make copies of all data and information and insure their property for use away from their own premises prior to giving them to JJ Freelance PA.
- JJ Freelance PA will not be liable for any direct, indirect of consequential losses, damages or costs caused in connection with the contract of service and cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage, theft etc of related data, projects or equipment either at our premises or during transit.
